Welcome to Lay Lake Camp, your family-friendly destination in central Alabama! We provide rentals of full hookup RV sites and boat slips in the heart of Lay Lake. Explore acres of nature trails, have a picnic under the giant oaks, or gaze at the stars from the expansive fields. Our RV park campground resort has everything you and your family need for the perfect getaway. Come join us!

Policies and Procedures

Disclaimers
  • Management reserves the right to refuse any camping unit that is more than 20 years old or is not properly maintained or is visually run down. We may accept older units but please ask first
  • Management reserves the right to move you to a different campsite or boat slip if unforeseen circumstances require it
  • No boat shall be repaired or constructed within the Marina area unless in case of an emergency, when special permission must be obtained
  • Management may reassign, for any reason and in its discretion, the boat slip assigned to the lessee
  • Management reserves the right to eject or refuse service to any person for any reason or persons who break or disregard rules
  • Management reserves the right, without prior notification, to make changes to the policies and procedures
  • Lay Lake Camp LLC is not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, accident, theft, weather or catastrophic events
  • LAY LAKE CAMP LLC ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR INJURY TO ANY PERSON ARISING OUT OF USE OF THESE FACILITIES OR FROM THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
General
  • In order to stay Lay Lake Camp, a reservation must be made - Please call us directly at (205) 223-0331 or email us at tracey@squarearc.com
  • For monthly rentals, check-in is after 9:00 AM CST on the first day of the month. Check out is before 4:00 PM CST on the last day of the month. For Weekly rentals, check-in is after 9:00 AM CST on the first day of the rental. Check out is before 4:00 PM CST on the seventh day of the rental.
  • Site fee is paid upon arrival or in advance. A $50 late fee will apply if site fee becomes past due.
  • Monthly Tenants are responsible for obtaining power with Alabama Power.
  • There is a $40 returned/”bad” check fee
  • Lay Lake Camp is a recreational facility, not a full-time residential facility. Guests are required to provide their permanent address with registration. Campers may not use the park address to establish residency related to school, voter registration, or any other matter deemed not to be normal camping activities by the management.
  • Register all overnight guests in advance
  • “Doubling Up” is not allowed – only one RV and two personal vehicles are allowed per site
  • Golf carts and other motorized vehicles may only be operated on roads. All non-paved and non-graveled roads and trails are for foot traffic only. Do not drive thru empty sites (use the main roads only)
  • If your vehicle is in a site that you have not reserved, the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense
  • Sub-leasing campsites or boat slips is strictly prohibited
  • It is required that water be shut off when the RV will be unoccupied for more than 1 week
  • Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: No oil changes, body work, painting etc., on site, except by professional mobile repair companies and authorized by the management
  • No dock, slip, walkway, or shore area be used as a storage space for any gear or equipment unless authorized by the management in writing
Common courtesy
  • Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • No excessive noise, loud parties, radios, or TVs
  • No public drunkenness or illegal drug use
  • No public profanity – this is a family establishment
  • Do not block thruways
  • Respect the natural environment of the park
  • Cleanliness / Appearance: Please keep your site clean and free from debris, trash, and pet waste
  • Deposit bagged trash in trash dumpster provided on site - Trash must be put in bags and tied - No loose trash please - No large items
  • Soliciting is prohibited. No peddling or business enterprise is allowed in the park. Signs for the sale of products or services are not allowed. Likewise, the Marina area shall never be used by Lessee for taking in or discharging persons for hire, rental of boats or for public or freight carrying of any kind
  • The Lessee is responsible for the conduct of any and all persons using, visiting, or occupying his or her campsite or boat while such persons are present at the campground
Pets
  • Owner Takes full responsibility for their pet
  • Pets must always kept on a leash and under your control
  • Pets may not be tied to docks or walkways
  • Clean up after yourself and your animals (use a “Pooper Scooper”)
  • Vicious/ferocious animals are not allowed - Pit bulls are not allowed
  • Excessive barking is not allowed
Safety
  • In case of an emergency, please dial 911
  • Please be aware that management assumes no liability for loss or damage to property, or injury to any person arising out of the use of these facilities. Remember to take care of any valuables you bring with you, and always keep your own safety in mind
  • Guests are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children. Young children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Keep campfires contained in fire pits and/or grills
  • Follow the speed limit – 10 mph. All motorists must be cautious
  • Do not adjust, remove, change, etc. any part of the electrical box
  • Do not cut any part of a tree – if a limb is low hanging, report it to the management
  • You are responsible for any damage to the campground due to your neglect (running over utilities, damage to structures, etc)
  • You are responsible for any damage to docks. Boat fenders and/or bumpers are required for docked boats at all times
  • Smoking is not permitted on the docks or near any fuel storage containers
  • Diving from the docks or a vessel in the camp’s marina is prohibited
Sewer
  • Lay Lake Camp is connected to a septic system which requires guests to take care in the disposal of certain items
  • Please do not flush or pour down your drains: coffee grounds, disposable diapers, wipes, sanitary napkins or other feminine products (including those labeled flushable), medication, cigarette butts, fats, grease, oil, paints, thinners, kitchen scraps, dental floss, kitty litter, tampons, condoms, paper towels, varnishes, waste oils, pesticides, facial tissues, paper towels, automotive antifreeze, ammonia, acetone, or other solids that may cause clogging. These items can cause damage to the park’s septic system as well as the holding tanks in RVs
  • If it is found that a blockage is due to a guest’s negligence, the guest will be assessed charges for labor and supplies to make repairs at a minimum of $50
